Challenge:
McDonald’s has a huge selection of beverages, but many people don’t know that. We needed to show people why McDonald’s should be their go-to, one-stop-shop for beverages of all kinds by featuring their wide variety of drinks.
Insight:
Running out for a beverage is a ritual often tied to other rituals.
Solution:
By showing that McDonald’s has a drink for every ritual, we motivate people to incorporate Mickey Dees into their daily routines.
Drive-through experience
It was a no-brainer to feature the beverages in the drive-thru and speak to existing customers where they’re making decisions.
Personalized cups, limited edition uniforms for cashiers, and buttons that feature your personal routines and their corresponding drinks—collect them all! Extending the playful experience through point-of-sale in these ways makes people feel like a part of something bigger and want to come back for more.
